Commissionerate of Horticulture and Plantation crops is implementing National Mission on Micro Irrigation Scheme. Under this scheme, farmers are being provided with 75% and 100% subsidy for installation of Micro Irrigation System in their fields. During this year, exclusive Micro Irrigation Villages will be developed with latest Irrigation techniques. As per Honorable Minister for Agriculture announcement, Mobile-Governance would be adopted for effective monitoring of the scheme, at a cost of Rs. 200.00 lakhs as per G.O.Ms No.165 Agriculture (AP1) department dated 1.8.2012. Work order for the implementing this unique project has been issued on 31/8/2012 and filed work is in progress.
Mobile Phones based software using GIS/GPS and geo fencing concepts is being procured for the monitoring of micro irrigation installations and works undertaken in the 56 state Horticulture farms, various parks and gardens under TANHODA.

Monitoring work progress of the Installations of Micro Irrigation Systems ie. The supervisory officers visit the field location and capture the photograph of the installations. The image/photograph that is captured along with GPS coordinates, date and time
